Isack Hadjar was born on September 28, 2004 in Paris, France. From a young age he showed an interest in motorsport and began his career in karting, where he excelled in national and international competitions. His talent led him to debut in single-seaters in 2019, competing in the French Formula 4, where he obtained good results and demonstrated his potential as a driver.

Isack Hadjar began his career in motorsport through karting, competing in national and international tournaments in France. From an early age, he showed great talent and a quick adaptation to competition, which allowed him to stand out in different categories. In 2019, he made the jump to single-seaters, debuting in French Formula 4 with the FFSA Academy team. During that season, he achieved podiums and good results that confirmed his potential as a driver.

In 2021, he expanded his experience by competing in the Euroformula Open and the Asian Regional Formula, where he obtained multiple victories and consolidated his reputation as one of the young promises of motorsport. Thanks to his outstanding performances, Red Bull incorporated him into its young driver program, paving the way for his progression to Formula 3, Formula 2, and ultimately Formula 1. He finished runner-up in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship, securing his race seat at Racing Bulls for 2025.

2025

It started about as badly as a debut can go. Hadjar spun off on a wet formation lap in Australia, leaving his car with a destroyed rear wing before the race even began. Most rookies would have taken weeks to recover from that. He bounced back in his third race. Japan brought his first points finish, an eighth place he described as a perfect race. The season kept building from there, and Zandvoort was the moment that made everyone pay attention: third place, the youngest French driver ever to reach an F1 podium. He outqualified teammate Lawson 21 to 6 across the year. Red Bull noticed. By the end of the season he had been confirmed as their driver for 2026.

2026

Promoted to the senior team alongside Verstappen, Hadjar delivered a string of solid points finishes through the first half of the season, including a podium in Monaco — third place on the road, taken away and handed back twice over through a chain of post-race appeals before being reinstated for good. He was a regular presence in the midfield battle at the front, outscoring several more experienced rivals across the Barcelona, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium and Hungary rounds. His season was interrupted over the summer break, when a wrist injury sustained in training ruled him out for the final three rounds before Azerbaijan — the Dutch, Italian and Spanish Grands Prix; Liam Lawson was drafted in from Racing Bulls to cover the Red Bull seat for those rounds. Through the eleven rounds he contested, Hadjar sits eighth in the championship with 71 points, comfortably his best season yet.
