2015

Renault announced that it would return as an engine manufacturer to Formula 1 from the 2014 season, and also announced that it was considering creating its own team.

2016

The Lotus F1 Team became the Renault factory team, renamed the Renault Sport F1 Team. The team featured drivers Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer.

2017

Renault announced its intention to acquire the majority of the shares of the Lotus F1 Team and return as a factory team from the 2016 season.

2018

Renault bought the Lotus team and began operating under its own name, the Renault Sport Formula One Team. The team featured drivers Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer in their first year, and later with Nico Hülkenberg and Carlos Sainz Jr. in later years.

2019

Renault announced that it would change its name to the Renault F1 Team starting with the 2019 season. The team featured drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hülkenberg in their last year as Renault.

2020

Renault announced that it would change its name to Alpine F1 Team from the 2021 season, as part of a reorganization of Renault's Alpine brand. The team included the pilots Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon in their first year as Alpine.

2021

The Alpine F1 Team debuted in the Formula 1 season with drivers Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. Alonso achieved fifth place in the Qatar race, while Ocon achieved a second place in the Hungarian race. The team finished in fifth place in the constructors' championship.

2022

The Alpine F1 Team faced a difficult season, failing to score podiums and finishing fifth in the constructors' championship. The team included the pilots Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon in his second year as an Alpine. Despite the results, the team announced that it would continue in Formula 1 in the future.

2023

In the 2023 Formula 1 season, Alpine faced several challenges, seeking to establish itself as a strong contender in the midfield. The team continued with its drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, who added experience and skill. Although they showed flashes of competitiveness, the performance of the A523 was inconsistent, preventing them from consistently fighting for podiums. The team was plagued by several reliability and strategy issues throughout the season. Despite this, Alpine maintained its goal of finishing in the top five in the constructors' championship. The team showed improvements in some races, but also suffered some internal clashes and controversies. In short, Alpine did not reach the expected level, but continues to develop with the hope of improving in the future.

2024

In the 2024 Formula 1 season, Alpine F1 Team underwent a significant transformation. After a difficult start, with just 14 points from the first 20 races, the team implemented strategic changes, including the addition of David Sánchez as Executive Technical Director and the return of Flavio Briatore as Executive Advisor. These adjustments culminated in a double podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix, with Esteban Ocon second and Pierre Gasly third, lifting Alpine to sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. Ocon subsequently left the team to join Haas in 2025, with Jack Doohan making his debut in Abu Dhabi. In addition, Alpine announced its decision to recycle the A524 chassis for the 2025 season, focusing on optimising resources for the future.
