1978

Williams made his debut in the 1978 season with an FW06 chassis, powered by a naturally aspirated Ford Cosworth engine. The team got off to a rocky start, but took their first win at that year's British Grand Prix.

1979

In the 1979 season, Williams F1 performed better than in its debut season in 1978. The team used the FW07 chassis, which had been designed by Patrick Head and that it was powered by a Ford Cosworth DFV engine. The team's drivers were Alan Jones and Clay Regazzoni.

1980

Williams clinched its first Constructors' Championship in 1980, with Australian driver Alan Jones as Drivers' Champion. The team used the FW07 chassis, it had been designed by Patrick Head and was powered by a Ford Cosworth DFV engine.

1981

In this season season, Williams failed to defend its title, finishing second in the Constructors' Championship behind Nelson Piquet's Formula 1 team.

1982

Williams switched to Cosworth DFV engines and had a difficult season, with no wins and only a few podium finishes. The team finished fifth in the Constructors' Championship.

1983

Williams returned to form in 1983, winning three races and finishing third in the Constructors' Championship, behind Ferrari and Renault. British driver Keke Rosberg won the Monaco Grand Prix that year.

1984

In the 1984 season, Williams had a difficult season, with just one win and second place in the Constructors' Championship. The team used the FW09 chassis, powered by a turbo Honda engine, but had reliability issues. Rosberg achieved the team's only win at that year's Dallas Grand Prix. Despite the lack of success in the 1984 season, Williams was laying the foundation for future success in Formula 1.

1985

Williams switched to Honda engines, leading to a period of team dominance in Formula 1. The team won the Constructors' Championship in 1986 and 1987, and Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet won the Drivers' Championship in 1987.

1986

Williams switched to Honda engines in 1986, leading to a period of dominance for the team in Formula 1. The team won the 1986 Constructors' Championship on the FW11 chassis, Powered by Honda turbo V6 engine. Driver Nigel Mansell won the British Grand Prix that year.

1987

Williams continued his dominance in the 1987 season, winning the Constructors' Championship for the second year in a row. The Brazilian pilot Nelson Piquet won the Championship of Riders with the FW11B chassis, powered by the Honda turbo engine.

1988

Williams switched to Judd engines and had a difficult season, with no wins and only a few podium finishes. The team finished in sixth place in the Constructors' Championship.

1989

Williams returned to form in 1989, winning three races and finishing third in the Constructors' Championship. French driver Thierry Boutsen won the Grand Prix of Australia of that year with the FW13 chassis, powered by a Renault V10 engine.

1990

Williams returned to the top of Formula 1, winning its third Constructors' Championship in the FW13B chassis, powered by a Renault V10 engine. Austrian pilot Gerhard Berger won two races that year, and Brazilian Thierry Boutsen won another. Despite not winning the Drivers' Championship, Williams showed that they were still a competitive team in Formula 1.

1991

Williams began the 1990s with an impressive season in 1991. The team won the Constructors' Championship and Nigel Mansell won the Drivers' Championship with a win record nine races. Williams used the FW14 chassis, which was designed by Adrian Newey and featured active suspension.

1992

Williams continued its dominance, winning the Constructors' Championship for the second year in a row. British driver Nigel Mansell won the Drivers' Championship with nine wins and a second place finish in the 16-race season. Williams used the FW14B chassis, which was an evolution of the previous year's FW14 chassis.

1993

Williams switched to Renault engines in 1993 and had another impressive season, winning its third Constructors' Championship in three years. French driver Alain Prost won the Championship of Drivers with seven wins and two second places in the 16-race season.

1994

Williams switched to Renault V10 engines and had another impressive season. The team won its fourth Constructors' Championship in four years, and Australian driver Damon Hill won the Drivers' Championship. However, the season was marked by the death of Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna at the San Marino Grand Prix.

1995

Williams continued his dominance in the 1995 season, winning his fifth Constructors' Championship in five years. Damon Hill won four races and finished second in the Championship of Drivers behind his teammate, French driver Jacques Villeneuve.

1996

Williams switched to Renault V10 engines and had another successful season, winning its sixth Constructors' Championship in six years. Damon Hill won the Drivers' Championship with eight victories in the 16-race season.

1997

Williams switched to Mecachrome engines and had a difficult season, with no wins and only a few podium finishes. The team finished in third place in the Constructors' Championship.

1998

Williams switched to BMW engines in 1998 and had a more successful season, winning three races and finishing second in the Constructors' Championship. German pilot Heinz-Harald Frentzen won two races that year.

1999

Williams had another difficult season, with no wins and only a few podium finishes. The team finished fifth in the Constructors' Championship.

2000

In the 2000 season, Williams clinched its last Constructors' Championship to date. German driver Ralf Schumacher won two races that year, and Brazilian Juan Pablo Montoya won one. Williams used the FW22 chassis, powered by a BMW V10 engine.

2001

Williams had a difficult season with just one win, courtesy of Juan Pablo Montoya at the Italian Grand Prix. The team finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship.

2002

Williams had a much better season, winning four races and finishing second in the Constructors' Championship. Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya won three races that year, while Brazilian Ralf Schumacher won one.

2003

Williams had another difficult season with just one win, courtesy of Juan Pablo Montoya at the Monaco Grand Prix. The team finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship.

2004

Williams had a much better season, winning one race and finishing eighth in the Constructors' Championship. Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado won the Spanish Grand Prix, which was the first win for Williams since 2004.

2013

Williams had another difficult season with no podiums and just a few points. The team finished in ninth place in the Constructors' Championship.

2014

Williams switched to Mercedes engines and had an impressive season, earning nine podium finishes and finishing third in the Constructors' Championship. The Finn Valtteri Bottas and Brazilian Felipe Massa were the team's drivers that year.

2015

2016

2019

Williams had another difficult season with no points and only a few bright moments, such as third-place qualifying from Robert Kubica at the German Grand Prix. The team finished last in the Constructors' Championship.

2020

Williams had another difficult season with just one point courtesy of Nicholas Latifi. The team finished last in the Constructors' Championship.

2021

Williams was acquired by investment group Dorilton Capital and a new era began. The team achieved some points and highlights, including the second position of George Russell in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, but finished eighth in the Constructors' Championship.

2022

Williams is off to an impressive start with some podium finishes and a victory at the Spanish Grand Prix courtesy of George Russell. The team hopes to continue improving and climbing the Constructors' Championship.

2023

Williams finished seventh in the Constructors' Championship with 28 points. Alexander Albon was key, scoring several points, standing out in races such as Bahrain, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Italy. Logan Sargeant, in his first season, also improved, scoring his first point at the United States Grand Prix. The FW45, the Williams car, showed important advances compared to the previous year, helping the team to be more competitive.

2024

Williams faced several challenges. Alexander Albon continued to be the main driver, scoring points in some races, while Logan Sargeant was replaced by Franco Colapinto, who made his debut in F1 and also scored points. The FW46 had weight problems that affected its performance, and the team suffered several accidents, increasing costs. In the end, Williams finished ninth in the Constructors' Championship with 17 points.
